Consultant Attorney Kimberly Lee is the founder of Desert Law Group, an Estate Planning and Elder Law practice in Indian Wells, California. In addition to managing her busy law practice, Kimberly served on the Executive Committee as well as the Education Chair for the Solo Small Firm Section of the California Lawyers Association (formerly the State Bar of California). Kimberly is one of the updating authors for the Estate Planning Library published by the Continued Education of the Bar (CEB), the leading legal education provider in California. Kimberly is the Past President of the Desert Bar Association and the Past President of the Desert Estate Planning Council. She created the Financial Elder Abuse Initiative for the Desert Bar Association and was part of the Educating Seniors Project for the California Lawyers Association. After earning her law degree from the University of La Verne with the highest honor, Kimberly worked for the Honorable Marvin R. Baxter (Ret.) at the California Supreme Court. Since her service with the Court, Kimberly has been active in her law practice which focuses on wealth preservation, estate planning, trust and probate administration, and elder law. Kimberly is a member of WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, Desert Bar Association, as well as the Probate and Trusts, and Solo Small Sections of the California Lawyers Association. Kimberly is active in her local community. She served on the board of directors for the College of the Desert Foundation, Animal Samaritans, Community Foundation Coachella Valley Fund, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, as well as on the Advisory Board for First Foundation Bank, American Cancer Society and the Eisenhower Medical Foundation. She currently places her focus on Jump!, a non-profit organization that helps seniors to fulfill what’s left on their bucket list. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband and their son, gardening, reading, baking and cooking. |
